Owners Joe Savage and David York joined forces at Metro Construction in 1982. Both are second generation contractors who started in the painting industry and have over 65 years of combined experience working in the business.

Their efforts have built Metro into the premier commercial construction company it is today. And while their influence is seen on many well known Memphis buildings and landmarks, it is their service, attention to detail and their experience that has given Metro a reputation of excellence and keeps customers coming back to Metro year after year for all of their construction needs.

Presently, they staff a team over 60 strong with various project managers, estimators, office personnel, project superintendents and work crews. Since 1981, Metro has completed tens of thousands of projects with a value exceeding $425 million.
